Hi Dean! How are you? My name is Craig Harren. I came on your program 12 years ago. This program changed my life. Finishing high school I did the One World Latin America program. Since then I am married, with two kids, and living in Winnipeg. I still think of my time in Consuelo, staying with Yella, the Batey experience... I think of how much it opened my eyes and helped me realize that the change and effect that I can have is here, and hopefully it can have an effect there. I heard from a friend who re-visited Consuelo as a teacher after having participated as a student years ago... He felt that the spark of the program in the Consuelo community may be a little lost, due to the high volume of students "passing through", without seeing any results. If nothing else hopefully this letter will show my appreciation for the community’s inspiration on my life. Thank you and everyone else for the effort that you all have put into the program. It is definitely worth it.
